Vortex Computation ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide: When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, company, email address, phone number, service of interest, and project details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically: Like most websites, we collect standard analytics data (such as pages visited, referring source, approximate location, browser, and device type) through cookies and similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy names each service that does this and says what each one stores on your device, which for one of them is nothing at all.
Error reports: If a page of this site fails to render in your browser, we automatically send a report to our analytics provider, PostHog, so that we learn about the failure instead of waiting for someone to tell us. The report contains the error type, the error message, an internal reference code, and the address of the page it happened on. It does not contain anything you typed into a form, and it does not identify you.
Update notifications, only if you ask for them: If you install this site as an app and accept the offer of update notifications, your browser creates a push subscription and we store it so we can deliver them. That record is the address your browser gives us plus the keys needed to encrypt a message to it. It contains no name, email address, or browsing history. You can revoke it at any time in your browser's site settings for this domain.
Four third-party services run on every page of this site without asking you: Google Analytics 4, PostHog, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights. Our own server and application code set no cookies; the cookies on this site are set by those services. You can block them through your browser settings and through the opt-outs each service provides.
PostHog is the newest of the four and the one that leaves nothing behind. We start it with its storage set to memory only, so it writes no cookie and nothing to your browser's local storage; it records that a page was opened and little else. Automatic capture of clicks and form input is switched off, session recording is switched off in the page itself, and nothing on this site ever tells PostHog who you are. Because it sets no cookie, blocking cookies does not stop it; a content blocker does.
A fifth, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, is the only advertising tag here and it is the one we ask about. It does not load until you click Allow on the banner, and if you click Decline it does not load and we remember that. Your answer is stored in your browser and never sent to us. You can change it at any time on the Cookie Policy page. Our Cookie Policy names every one of these services, lists what this site does not run, and carries that switch.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the website and our business (such as analytics and hosting providers), and only as necessary to provide their services, or where required by law.
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided to us by contacting us at the address below. There is no self-service portal for that request; a person reads the email and answers it. For the LinkedIn advertising tag there is an on-page switch, on our Cookie Policy page, and it takes one click either way. For analytics there is no on-page control. The working options there are your browser settings and the per-service opt-outs listed on that same page, and that page also says which of them each service is and is not affected by, because they are not all stopped by the same thing.
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
